Big Railroad Blues

Cannon’s Jug Stompers was a popular Beale Street, Memphis band in the late 1920s through the 1930s, led by banjo player Gus Cannon. They are probably best known for their song “Walk Right In,”a hit in the 1960s by The Rooftop Singers. Big Railroad Blues, as well as Jug Stompers tunes Minglewood Blues and Viola Lee Blues, was covered by The Grateful Dead early in their careers.
